2002 - Infomaq

The Infomaq project consisted of a script that had the purpose of inventorying devices that ran the Windows operating system, collecting information from the hardware and the user, consolidating this information and persisting this data into a database for later consumption by other asset management systems.

The inventoried devices ran Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT4, Windows XP, and Windows 2000.

In the user logon process, some information such as processor, memory, and username were stored in a file on the file system. At the end of the week, this information was consolidated, removing duplicities and attributing, by the amount of logons of the same user to the device, who was the user "owner" of the same.

Once consolidated, this information was imported into the Oracle database, where information was available to other asset management systems.

It was considered a strategic project for Petrobras in 2002 for having generated the first Windows asset database. In a few months it inventoried thousands of devices, and was later replaced by systems that used the ITIL methodology for governance.

Project start year: 2002

Role: Developer, System Analyst

testimonial

Dear Francisco and staff, Our experience in the development of this solution was very rich. We were able to express our need and build the solution in a collaborative way with multidisciplinary TIC and EXP teams. The way of integrating the teams, using the collaborative resources (meeting room with stations and displays) facilitated the design of the application. The Well Site Panel (Painel de Locações) today is one of the main tracking tools for exploratory well planning. The speed of access, ease of navigation and the clarity of the information has aided the decision making process. In addition to the actual application, the constructive process provided corrections and improvements in the attributes of the well planning process, as well as improvements in correlated support tools. The Well Site Panel (Painel de Locações) has been and will be the catalyst for the improvement of other SIPLEX applications. A big hug and thanks for the partner.
